The Sunday School is asking for donations of Plastic Easter Eggs and Candy for their SS Easter Pizza Party/Egg
Hunt. Donations must be here by March 28, they may be left in Taryn’s SS Room or in the Church Office.

Sunday School Easter Program
On Saturday April 3 the children invite you to join them in celebrating the Easter Season with a program called “Because He Lives” at 7:00 p.m. The children have been working on the program during Sunday School music time.  Before the program at 4 pm the children will be treated with an Easter Party (Egg Hunt, Game & Pizza Supper).

LYF Basket Fundraiser
This year, LYF is doing the silent auction basket fundraiser (taking over for the Moses group for a year).  Baskets will be available beginning this Wednesday, 3/3 through Easter Sunday.  The baskets will be located in the church fellowship hall to bid on between now and Palm Sunday.  After Palm Sunday, they will move to The Vault.  Winners will be announced/notified on or after Easter Sunday!

Family Game DaySunday – March 21st  right after church.
Potluck Lunch! Bring a game and a dish to share!

100th Anniversary Celebration Request
For the church history book, updated history for each organization is needed. We are looking for information from Voter’s Assembly, Ladies Aid, LWML, Quilting Circle, Sunday School, Junk Jaunt and anything not mentioned.

Is there an Interest for a NURSERY Room in our church?
The Board of Education is looking into setting up a Nursery Room in our Church. They are first seeing if there is an interest in this room and need your input, please let Taryn Wright or Jenny Reynolds know if this is something that you believe would be of use in our church. The NURSERY ROOM would be in use during Sunday School Time 9:00 am – 10 am and also would be used during worship 10:30 am – 11:30 am. There would need to be volunteer staff scheduled to man the room while in use. We would need to look into getting a TV and Audio set up in the room so those using the room would have access to Worship. This is in the beginning stages and would be a great asset to our church, but before the Board of Education can move forward they need to know there is a great interest. Please let Taryn or Jenny know if this is something you would like our church to have.

Ash Weds., Weds. Night Lent Worship, Holy Week, Easter will be here before we know it. We need to know if there an interest in having the Weds. evening suppers. Attendance has been down with the COVID pandemic so we need to know is there anyone or any organization that would be willing to serve supper knowing that attendance may be low. Open House – Heartland Lutheran High School in Grand Island will be hosting an open house on Sunday January 31, 3-5 p.m., as well as a middle schoolers (grades 5-8) visit day on Tuesday February 9.  Contact the HLHS school office for information at 308-385-3900, office@heartlandlutheran.org.

100th Anniversary Celebration Requests:
For the church history book, updated history for each organization is needed.  A good time to complete this task is during the upcoming All Boards Meeting scheduled for Monday, February 1 at 6:45 p.m. Peg or Lisa will have a copy of the 75th anniversary history during this meeting time. Please contact one of them if you’re not able to attend. The Completion time schedule is March 1st.  Thank You

Heartland Lutheran OPEN HOUSE – TODAY for interested students, from 3-5 p.m.  You are welcome to come at any time during that time or call the office at  (308) 385-3900 if you would like to set up your own appointment for a different day.  

Save the Date: Our annual Red and Blue Auction will be on Saturday, March 27th.  Doors will open at 4:00; Dinner is at 6:00; Live auction begins at 7:00; silent auction throughout the event.  Tickets are $70 and we also have sponsorships available.  

Thursday, January 28th, 2021 from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm the HLHS National Honor Society Students will be hosting a Blood Drive for the Red Cross. Please consider coming in to make a donation and helping them reach their goal of over 30 usable units –reaching 30 usable units will make HLHS students eligible for a Scholarship through the Red Cross.
